What If Midlife Isn’t a Crisis, But an Awakening?

What if midlife isn’t a crisis… but an awakening? ✨

There comes a moment when we begin asking questions we may have been avoiding for a very long time:

What have I been postponing?

Is this really how I want to spend the next chapter of my life?

What parts of me have gone quiet?

Sometimes we drink, eat, shop, complain because it’s easier than asking.

Easier than stopping.

Easier than feeling.

Easier than listening to that quiet voice inside that keeps saying: there is more for me.

What happens when we stop trying to quiet the questions and become curious about them instead?

Maybe awakening isn’t about having all the answers.

Maybe it begins simply with the courage to ask.

You may have first found me because I was talking about alcohol.

About what happens when we become curious about the habits we thought we couldn't live without.

And that work changed my life.

But over time, I began to see something much bigger.

Alcohol was one doorway into freedom.

It wasn't the whole house.

Because once we begin removing the things that keep us numb, distracted, or disconnected, something interesting happens.

We begin to hear ourselves again.

And sometimes what we hear is:

What wants to come alive now?

This is where my work has been unfolding, too.

I no longer see midlife as something we need to fix.

It isn't about figuring out your entire future.

It isn't about becoming a better version of someone else's idea of who you should be.

And it certainly isn't about having all the answers.

It is about creating enough space to hear yourself again.

An awakening to the life we actually want.

An awakening to the parts of ourselves we've put aside.

An awakening to creativity, purpose, relationships, spirituality, adventure, and freedom.

And perhaps most importantly, an awakening to the possibility that there is still so much life ahead.

The UNFOLD journey follows the method I've come to trust through my own life and through the women I've had the privilege of coaching.
